150 PRSOPECT is an open mic experience…coffee house that takes places every second Saturday at 150 Prospect Street in Wethersfield Connecticut. We welcome all musicians, singers, poets, dancers and comedians, ages 14 and up to perform non-explicit and non-violent content in our venue. Each performer is given a 10 minute set each night. If there is time, performers may take the mic a second time during the evening. Sometimes musicians meeting for the first time end up playing together.
150 PRSOPECT is a substance-free venue, open to all. Free homemade soups, chili, desserts, coffee and soft drink will be available to both performers and audience members.
Started in March of 2015, 150 PROSPECT has grown in size and in the number of performers who bring their talents to the stage. For our performers we can offer from just a simple stool and a microphone up to a full soundboard with monitors, lights, and electronic keyboard along with drum kit setup for larger groups. If you would like to sing and need accompaniment bring your favorite song on an MP3 player and we can plug you in. If you are a group of more than 5 players we ask that you call ahead to insure that enough microphones and instrument plugins are available.
