like a Morning Glorious, Heavenly Blue I’m thinking

what a strangely familiar but still unusual name or nom

de plume or da microphone (sign me up I’d say) either way

such a word was just what it would take to make it happen

soon morphing then blossoming into full blown performance

one that many would deem intriguing even soul nourishing

Ahh but in this life there is the Balance or some semblance

for there’d be those who’d find the style a bit pretentious

arrogant, even irreverent(!) and to them I say: Oh yes!

These words are all of that and more!  Thanks so much

to both groups without whom it’s true, I’d have so much less

to rant and write about, no doubt fewer eyes and open ears

for these most cherished thoughts, run-on as they often are

these giddy, playful lines right there on the verge of song
