Welcome back to another great season at 150 Prospect! We have a number of great anchors already lined up. Our first of our new year is Jeffrey Roche!
In his own words, “Music has always played the monumental role of carrying me through the darkest moments of my life. I come from a very musical family, so learning and performing music was a daily experience for me. Specifically my Mother, who worked as a music teacher for over 30 years and served as the organist/choir director at my childhood church. All the way through school, I performed in choirs and concert bands. I also became a member of my high school’s marching band and during my freshman year, I traveled to California to perform in the Rose Bowl Parade, Disneyland, and Universal Studios. During my senior year, I began to teach myself how to play the guitar. I continued to write and perform original music, which mainly consisted of singing about my friends and issues that one encounters in their daily life. However, as I began making the decision to return to a Christian lifestyle, I began writing and performing music that would encourage others towards believing in Jesus and using it as an opportunity to share my personal testimony. I am also involved in performing with other Christian music groups. In 2018, I began attending New Life Church in Wallingford CT, and I have been faithfully serving as a member of their worship team. It has been an absolute blessing to use my musical ability in this way. As I continue to develop and build upon the gifts that Jesus has given me, I have begun to search for new ways to perform and the opportunity to expand upon what Jesus has given me.”
Doors open at 6 p.m. Get your hot meal and beverages, say hello to new and returning friends. The mics go on at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a non-perishable food item for our collection. Freewill donations for supplies are always appreciated. See you all on Saturday, October 11th.
Thanks for another great season, 2024-25!

Petey Jones to Anchor on April 12th!

Hello, my name is Petey Jones! I love music! Growing up, I always sang and began making up songs as a child. This is a habit that has continued throughout my life, though my lyrics have developed more intension as I’ve gotten older (in comparison to the lyrical stylings of my 6-year-old self)!
My mother gave me a guitar around the age of 15 and I have been playing ever since. This has expanded my songwriting quite a bit. I am self-taught, and am always improving. But the love I feel for music helps to compensate for my lack of technical ability and classical training. I tend to stray away from covering the music of others because I still have so much I wish to say within my own music. However, I am influenced by an overwhelming number of artists from across the musical spectrum. I enjoy almost every genre and generation of music. And while my performance style is simple, I feel each of the many artists I love leaves a small imprint on my music and how I present it. At 32, I still have a long way to go in the world, and so much to learn – but whatever this life brings, I will always be grateful to be able to write my songs and to be provided the opportunity to play them for those willing to listen.
