Cece Borjeson Brings It with Banjoline on May 11th
Entertaining regionally since 1996, Cece and “Banjoline” look forward to their 150 Prospect Open Mic feature! Cece has played solo, duo with Ruth George, as well as in several bands playing guitar, banjo, pennywhistle, bodhran, harmonica and more. Her long career playing fingerstyle on guitar influences her banjo style on ballads, and her clawhammer style is peppy and bright. Playing a mix of traditional Americana, blues, gospel and covering her favorite songwriters, she allows the lyrics to drive the mood of each piece. She’s opened shows for illuminaries such as Odetta and Jean Richie, and appeared at numerous festivals (Arts and Ideas, Falcon Ridge FF, NEFFA, Eagle Festival, Boars Heads and more). A regular at local open mics, Cece understands and promotes the symbiotic role of community and music. With four CDs produced since 1999, her discography is wide and diverse. Expect a sing-along, much toe-tapping and thought-provoking lyrics on Saturday, May 11th!
